Hello,
Jean glad to hear you got some sleep in the end! I’m not feeling to bad on this chemo, just a little tired. Hope you’re ok too. I am so looking forward to a slap up meal and some bubbly when chemo is over. It sounds like fags, wine and vodka are the key to a healthy life according to your tests lol :-). Hope you sleep well tonight.
Sue your mum’s blood clot sounds awful and so big!! My dads been on a few of my appointments and knows everything about me including all embarrassing things!! After I told my onc I was constipated my dad kept asking for days if I’d managed to go to the loo yet…please dad enough lol!!! Glad your hubby’s home safe and sound.
Stef thanks for your kind words, you’re a real fighter too. Hopefully with this chemo you won’t feel so down, just concentrate on looking forward to your fab weekend away. Don’t worry about gaining weight I’ve been told it’s normal. I’ve gained about a stone!!! You’re right about feeling humbled let’s hope that young girl has a good outcome, very sad.
Sam I hope you avoided a trip to the hospital this afternoon for that jab!! Your lasagne and cheesecake sounds yummy.
Wendy you have every right to feel sorry for yourself. Have a big cry and get a large box of chocolates and you’ll feel much better x
Paula nice to hear you're in high spirits.I had chilli today too but i slipped up and never had any dessert. Now i need something sweet. I’m on the same mission as you... to leave any hair that grows alone (even if it shouldn't be there!!) and to stay awake!!
Sarah thank you so much for your words of encouragement for us ladies going through this hard time. Really glad to hear your mum’s doing well x
Laila well done for reaching your last FEC yippee! That’s one ticked off and bring on Taxotere. I have heard they recommend wearing dark nail polish on some chemo’s to help keep your nails. Bet you’re looking forward to the day you crack open that pink champagne :-)
Love Chelle x
Just to make you smile!
First of all to set the scene. My ops are on my left side. On Wednesday when they took my pre chemo bloods I was left with a huge bruise on the inside of my right arm. Not in the least bit painful, but very visible. Katie and Molly (aged 4 and 3) are too young to understand anything about breast cancer, so they have been told that Granny has a very poorly arm, which is not a lie.
So this morning Molly is here, as Katie is in hospital today having her tonsils and adenoids out!
The first thing she notices is the bruise! “Granny what’s wrong with your other arm?” I explained that the nurse had done it. To which she threw her arms up in the air and said “But they are meant to make you better at the hospital!! Now you got 2 poorly arms!!” She then gave me the biggest hug ever.
Ain't kids great!Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
