    God help us, Stef!

It's now nearly midnight. I'm on a high as I had the steroid injection today, before the chemo. Tomorrow that should wear off and tomorrow I take no steroid pills. What will be be like tomorrow night!

    Bring it on!!!

Paula, I expect you are wide awake. What do you fancy? Hot chocolate, coffee, tea, cocoa, bovril, Vody and tonic, Vody and tomato juice, Vody and lime, Vody and lemonade? Vody and anything??? Let me know and I'll send you a virtual one!!

    Must try to get down!!!

    Love Jean xx

    Jean,

I'm still awake but thinking of logging off now. Alarmclock on for 07.00 to take my steroids with food (yuk!). Will go back to bed after but probably not sleep...

Could to with a double gin tonic but sadly have to wait until Friday night for the real one.......

    Night night all,

    Hi anybody still up!"

Now 2 a.m. Going to bed now. Still not tired. Hopefully tomorrow , without steroids, I will sleep. More to the point, my poor hubby might get some sleep. He won't move into a spare bedroom and won't let me move either. we've got 3 empty rooms!!

    Goodnight ....................I hope

    Love to all

Jean, you poor thing, I would have joined you for a voddy but I am not on steroids at all now, not even with the chemo. In fact last week I slept so much without them it was unbelievable. Sreff, I came off the steroids when I was on them, I took plenty of sickie tabs and it didn't affect me at all. Unfortunately I was on injections everyday which caused joint and muscle pain and this got horendous without the steroid as it was an anti inflamitary aswell, so I ended up having to go back on them.
I am now on a different mission to you both, 'stay awake mission impossible' lol xxxx

flippin computers mine just shut down and configured somet and i was half way through posting - argh!

Lailla were you at christies yesterday for chemo as i had first long delay they have shut chemo suite and using it for cold caps and other tstuff so had to go to ward 3 or 5 - bloods done 9.10am saw oncolog 9.40am then nothing till 2.30pm finally got chemo and home for 4pm.

Jean you certainly buzz with your steroids i had them with chemo yesterday and sletpt midnight till 8.30am woke to cracking thunder storm. and MORE PIGGIN RAIN. Have you chosen not to take the steroids today and tomoz or are they not given to you now. I am bit mushy head - but have you just got one more chemo to go and chelle too. wow wee. Hey you have a great selection of drinks there jean - all be it mainly vodka based hahaha.

I have had my anti sicky tab this mornin but no steroid - heres hoping for a better ride - steroids are mean as they make you starvin but you cant find anything to eat that tastes good. Everyone still in bed (except michael who has gone to work) hubby off and daughter back home from mums - both asleep. Just me trevor and laptop - peace. cant keep track of days with every one home and chemo on wed always seems to throw the days around and confuse me. Weather not looking like changing well into next week - i should have bought a duck not a dog (or at least a black dog not a white freckly brown one). Thinking of painting the front room ceiling with blue sky and sun to cheer me up and get some palm tree printed curtains then bring me sun lounger in - got beige carpet so thats like sand - then waz the gas fire on - try and fake that i abroad in the sun. Maybe well have a brilliant summery august.

Paula thanks for steroid advice - hope you ok today and that you slept good last night and that you manage more wakeful days this time round. Im just hoping this rain will bugger off and we have some good weather soon it driving me bonkers (i smoke in the greenhouse outside if it raining (otherwise in garden) and trev comes out when we go out so its wet mucky dog every time want fag - youd think it put me off smoking but i just take a towel out and wrap trev up in it to get him in cleanish - where theres a will hahaha) Cant wait to go to the lakes for our weekend break and have meals cooked and no washing up no kids no trevor for 2 days it will be so relaxing - pity have to take grumpy arse (hubby) haha. Told kids take em to waterpark at blackpool on 8th aug but i cant go in i will be sat on side with a magazine all day.

Lorraine how you doing today hope you ok and Chelle too. still not got headphones off michael to skype talk they in his room somewhere and he never still long enough to remember to ask him for them.

    Everyone else keep smiling.

Hiya Heatherann, so sorry to hear this, but I just wanted to let you know that my mum was diagnosed with breast cancer 4 years ago when she was 57. She lost her hair but the chemo didn't really affect her apart from that. She's 61 now and a a great source of inspiration for me, especially now. Stay strong, Sarah X

    Hello everyone

I hope you’re all feeling good.

Jean I hope you finally managed to get some sleep and that you’re not suffering too much from yesterday’s chemo.

Stef, hope you’re doing OK after your chemo too.

Wendy, how you feeling today? So sorry to hear your latest news. Big hugs xx

I’ve been to have my bloods done today. My Onc, for some reason wants me to have bloods done on day 9 and then again day before next chemo. Bloody vampires, the lot of them!! I’ve got so many puncture marks in my arm that I look like a junky!! J

I told the nurse that I had a bit of a mishap with the injection I have to give myself everyday for a week following chemo – I pulled the stopper back too far the ended up wearing the injection rather than injecting myself! Whoops!!! Nurse didn’t think it would be a problem but said I should mention it to my breast care nurse, so have rang her and told her what I’d done, she tutted and said she’d tell my Onc. If he wants me to have another dose she’ll ring me and I’ll have to go to the hospital this afternoon to receive it. Doh!!! It was an accident lol

Today I’m feeling great, the best I’ve felt in over a week now. I’ve done a mammoth cooking fest today, have made enough lasagne to feed the street!!! Lol Poor Karl will be eating lasagne for his tea for the next month!!! Also knocked up a gorgeous banoffee cheesecake type thing, ooo it’s very sickly but oh so good J

Well that’s all from me for now. Chin up everyone, stay positive,

    Love as always

    Sam xxxx

Hi Sam - yum, your cooking sounds yummy - I think we'll all be over! Bring your anti-sickness tablets everyone!
To be honest I still feel as I've been kicked in the stomach. Had a cry in the middle of the night - I guess the song is right - "the darkest hour is just before dawn".
I know I'll bounce back - I always do but just now I'm curling up and feeling sorry for myself!
love to everyone on this site - you are fantastic!
    lots of love, Wendy xxxx

Hi Wendy, lol bring all the drugs you got!!!

I find myself bursting into tears for no real reason, it's most odd. You have every right to feel sorry for yourself, so don't go feeling guilty about it, in the words of McFly, it's all about you xxxxdx

I've been shopping on a website, www.bohemia-fashions.com it's got some lovely headwear on it. I'm fed up with my wigs and am just as happy in a pretty hat, so I've bought (and it's just arrived) a soft polycotton turban hat in burgandy (thought it would be good for autumn/winter too) and a matching burgandy and cream orchid design scarf to wrap round the turban, they are beautiful and £15.50 for the two including delivery they're a bargain, I'm now parading round my living room like a movie star!!! lol

    Lots of love Sam xxx
