Well ladys the wig is in the building!!!!!

I guess it will do, its not too dodgy, it will probibly look better when ive not got all my own hair to tuck into it. Think I might call it Elvis!! don't ask me why its just the first name that came into my head. The dog likes it anyway he thought id bought him another fluffy toy!!

Liz well done in raising all that dosh XX

Chelle welcome back, glad youre feeling betterXX

I feel a little bloated today looks like I might get the constpation bit, and indijetion. But if thats all I have to put up with then I can cope with that. I know we're supposed to keep clear of curry but I might try a korma tonight to see if it gets me moving. ( sorry what a thing to be talking about!!) I seem to just be sat waiting for all the side affects to arrive. My husband was playing with my hair last night and he said, 'What am I going to do when you lose it all', I said 'I'll just chuck over my wig and you can still play with it!!!!

    Take care ladys

Hi Cant keep up with all the posts lol still must be the chemo brain. Chelle great your awake to post lol do you not have steroids for the first five days. They use to make me run around doing all the house work. It was on the 10th day that i felt crap for around a week then I would pick up again.

Sunny again in glasgow. Some of my treatment has been put on hold. The bone strengthening one I have to get my gums looked at as there is one side effect that causes jaw bone infection. My gums are bad after the chemo. Some of my teeth are a little loose so I have a feeling I am going to have to get these out and heal before starting. Started my hormone pill today and on Monday I am getting my first monthly injection to shut down my overies. I will keep you posted.

Gilly welcome here not sure about tags havent tried I use to loose threads but someone told me if you go to the bottom of the page and add to favourties then go to the left click on my discussions then at the top click on favourites. I am rubbish with computers so maybe someone else can help with tags.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend and will catch up with you soon.

    Lots of love

    Hello Ladies

Well Liz you must be really pleased about the money you have raised. WELL DONE!! Just take it easy now for a bit and look after yourself.

Chelle, great to see you back, sleeping beauty!!

How about Wanda, Winnie or Wendy for your wig?

Hope the Curry works, Heather. A couple of glasses of wine works for me!!

Hi Gilly. Lorraine has given you the best way to find our gang again on the board. Welcome and so sorry, like the rest of us, that you have found yourself here. Life's a bitch at times.

Hey Lorraine, I hope you had a great night out with your friends. You are quite right, get out and enjoy yourself and don't let the b----- get you down.

Good luck with your treatments. Let us know how you get on with them.

I think the steroids give me a buzz too. I have been cleaning since I had my chemo on Tuesday. Maybe after the weekend I'll calm down again. All the wall tiles in the house are gleaming and the cooker has never been so clean. It it wasn't for my age i might suspect I was pregnant as I appear to getiing the nest in order!!!!

My brother is coming down from Scotland the week after next to see me. I am really looking forward to that, as I love him dearly.

This has hit him pretty hard as he lost his dear wife to cancer, last April. She battled for 2 years. Initially with lung cancer which the chemo "cured" But then it came back a year later and spread to various other organs. She was only 55.

As always, thinking of you all.

    Jean

hello heatherann, how are you doing and coping? i have just been through chemo and radio, my experience is...i had my 1st needle then vomited every half an hour for 5days!!! they asked me to go back into hospital as they were worried about me, i had to go on the drip and have bags of water intravenisly, as i was dehydrated, they gave me stronger tablets but everytime i had chemo it was the same vomiting all the time, right througn the night. the sickness only lasted 3 to 5 days after the 1st needle, the 2nd needle my hair came out loads so i got my hair cut short but it just fell out so i got my husband to shave it. he cried i was ok with it, i got a nice wig which we have a love hate relationship, i hate it but would be lost without it. i am fab now i just need my energy levels to get higher as am still tired, am on tamoxifen for 5 years but am good, in between all the sickness u do feel ok , well i did, and we r all different, so u just have to go with the flow, but we are all here for you and its good just to know that isnt it? well take care hun, if u have msn i will give u my addy.. love gill xxxx

Hi I think all the treatments take a good year to get over. I have sore bones and feel (stopped taoxifen last week it wasnt working now on Femera?) like am am 90 years old. I now have it in my bones but the pain is completely different so dont worry The tamoxifen made me feel like I have the flu. The longer I was on the drug the easier the side effects got so fingers crossed it will be the same for you.

Jean my house was never as clean every 3 weeks for 5 days I couldnt stop cleaning or talking sh-t (nothing new there). It was good because for about 7 days after that I couldnt get of my but. Wish I was on steroids now house is needing a big hoover and dust! Where do you like and if its close I will pay you to clean for me lol

Hope your doing something nice tonight I am visiting a friend as Dave my hubby is on night shit.

    Take care

    Love Lorraine xxx
