My partner Martin was diagnosed with this horrible desease on june 19th 2008. I am so scared of this monster of a disease, why does it happen, where does it come from? Cant we find a cure? please God find one soon. There are htousands of new cases every year why cant we save these peoples lifes from this horrible disease.

Nothing really to report my end - side effects of the trial drugs are kicking in very sadly - he seems out of it at the moment half of the time and very tired, his facial hair has gone white, has foliculitus so hairs falling out of his legs and arms and has a very bad tum - but i guess in the whole scheme of things these are nothing compared to what it would be like without the trial drugs. back at hosp tomorrow for his weekly screeening - getting a bit nervous as his clotting levels have been slowly dropping and there is nothing I can do to make that stop either - if its not one thing its another!
Would like to thank those that have sponsered his brother on his mamouth cycle in may - we have nearly raised 2K in a week so lets hope that continues and we will be on target for the 15K!
Just been speaking to Julie (Julie & Stephen) Stephen was taken in to hosptial last week with high blood sugar levels ( after a real performance but I'll leave that to julie to fill you all in on) he is sadly still in a week later as his levels are still high and he now has a stomach infection - So Julie if your reading rather than posting keep going your doing an amazing job and thinking of you both xxxxx
Anyway footie has gone into extra time or penaltys so going to bed with my book
Oh Lesley, our posts crossed. What a horrible time you must have had today. i hope they can sort him out. Enjoy the fish and chips and try and get a good nights sleep. You could always try curling up with Amber and Winnie the Pooh!
Emma, I've manged to change mine too (I think). We had such a lovely day, I'm so pleased we have the memories. It's hard watching our wedding DVD though, seeing B as he was.
