    Hi Debbie

Isn't it funny how life changes. You are now the ones waiting for your parents to text you saying they have arrived safely rather that it being the other way round.

My youngest has just passed his driving test and my two boys are now driving to their dads (about an hour away), I can't wait to get the text saying they have arrived safely too!

Gayle - I'm glad we haven't had your storms. We have lovely sunshine down here in the south which does lift the spirits.

I hadn't realised the time. I'd better go and get showered and get off to see B.

    Love to you all

    hello ladies

just wanted to check in and say hope all is as well as is possible for all tonight -

Debbie - glad your folks are safely up and away - God speed and hope they have a jolly good time!

Lesley- hope your Dad's feeling better and your Mum's coping ok

Carrie, Gayle, Jay, Diane, Izzy, Emma, CH, Julie - be thinking of you all and wishing you and your darlings well. David and I are away tomorrow til Thursday night, off to stay at Park Attwood clinic where David is booked to have Mistletoe therapy ... Going to give it a shot and see what it can do and as your roving reporters, will be back at the end of the week to give you all the lowdown!!!!

So now we've Emma and Matthew at Royal Marsden, Debbie and her Dad shortly to be investigating the trial at the Beatson and now us dotty pair reviewing the scene in Worcestershire - it's like Nationwide - oo-er now I'm showing my age..... Anyone else? Head massage in Hertfordshire? therapeutic feather tickling in Fulham? Bottom bashing in Bolsover? I'll try anything if it does the trick...

Seriously - will miss you all - be thinking of you and sending good vibes and druid magic and all that Mistletoe stuff - (tho' discovered to my horror there's an alcohol ban in place at the clinic - shriek!!!!!!) - especial thoughts to Carrie and Jay - we're all rooting for you and your men and wishing you love and strength and hoping for some happier days for you xxxx

ps Diane and Carrie - i do mostly landscape painting - website is www.jomarch.co.uk -

Well, got to go - socks to pack, moustache to pluck, alcohol to cunningly conceal in the toilet bag (bottle of wine stuck down a pop-sock??)

Wishing everyone much love , speak soon, big hugs

    Joan xxxx

I never thought I would say this, but Hooray! The weekend's almost over. Tomorrow when I get to the hospice I can start nagging them about B coming home.

Good morning to you all. I hope today is a better day for those of you going through tough times.

Emma, Debbie, Carrie & Gayle - thank you so much for your welcome. It is definitely helpful to be on here. I can see why you all get so much strength and support from this thread.

Debbie - how wonderful that your parents have managed to go on holiday. I hope they have a really lovely time.

Lesley I hope your Dad's leg is starting to improve. That must have been a shock.

Carrie I'm sorry to hear of your hard times. You're right it does seem that a lot are going through bad times at the moment. I really hope your man will be home with you soon. It must be so hard. From reading your profile it seems as though things have gone downhill quickly since the first round of treatment?

I'm flying to the UK on friday with my baby so we can see my Dad again. I really need to get organised - not looking forward to long haul alone with a baby! (my partner can't come this time as he has to work) I can't wait to see my Dad though so I'm sure we'll manage.

    Take care x
