Hi just wanna post this quick I have 3 children oldest is 23 and pregnant who knows I have bowel cancer but I have a 9 year old and a 7 year old that I haven’t told about my cancer as one I don’t think they would understand and two I don’t want to scare them but I’ve had a emergency obstruction bowel surgery that I’m still recovering from was in icu ect so they know I’ve been ill but I still have to have chemo so will be so ill again and what if I lose my hair ect should I tell them and if so how to explain I’m at a loss of what to do so any advice would be greatly appreciated thanks for listening x Bettyboop x

I am so sorry to read of your cancer diagnosis and the issues you have in telling your children. Like you I was in hospital for over a week and emerged with a cancer diagnosis. I was "lucky" as all 4 of my children were adults and knew the score before I was discharged so this problem didn't arise.
