Hi. I was diagnosed with terminal adenoid cystic carcinoma last year. As it's a slow grower I want to make the most of my time, including going on holiday. I am going to Lanzarote in May and was wondering if anyone had any advice about taking morphine abroad and what documents I might need to do so? I've googled it but it's so confusing!
Any advice greatly appreciated.
Hi Ellt and I see it's your first post on the Community so welcome.
A number of years back when I could actually get any Travel Insurance for my incurable condition we went to the USA and I was on a number of drugs including a very expensive drug that may have caused problems if challenged.
I was told to get a letter from my consultant detailing all the drugs I was on and why. I took a copy of my repeat prescription and also a letter from my GP to confirm that I was 'fit to travel' and had no problems.
But that was a few years back.
