Thanks all for your messages
Not a good start to the week. After awaking with more pain to my leg we decided to have a doctors home visit. He duly visited late morning and he gave me a good check over. He was fairly certain that I had a case of muscle spasm but could not rule out a D V T. He rang our hospital and arranged for us to be seen straight away. Matt was due to finish his shift so stayed and organised a wheelchair. We arrived there about half three and with Matts influence did not have to wait too long for the initial checks etc. . Well the ultrascan confirmed I indeed have a D V T buried deep within my left calf. The implications to my treatment is that I will almost certainly have to come off the Sutent so the thrombosis can be treated I have already had one injection of clexane and will return to the hospital tomorrow for follow up treatment. Obviously im disapointed but in some ways ready for a bit of a treatment break. Tomorrow we will be speaking to the Marsden to put them in the picture. Our journey has just got a whole lot harder.
Oh Bob! What a bummer! I really hope it can be treated, and fast too!
love and hugs to you all
Moomy
So sorry you have DVT that is the last thing you need right now, maybe this break from treatment will give you some well needed energy and respite like you said. I hope so. Thinking of you. Sarah xx
