Hi all, Well its been a funny old week but I am beginning to feel a bit better. The events of Monday are a bit vague to me but basically, after a really shitty end of last week and weekend. and as a result of seeing a Doctor I needed a wee sample on the Monday Morning. Well I shuffled to the loo and managed to prop myself up against the loo and pee in this undersized vessel (i wish) and actually managed to half fill it before collapsing. I awoke to Linda pulling my head out the toilet, and amazingly still holding my bottle of pee, upright. Somehow Myself and Linda got me to a chair in the bathroom and sat me on it. We were going to get back in the bedroom at that point but something made me say to Linda, No just leave me. I had my first fit, quickly followed by my second. Luckily at that point Matt came home from a night shift so was able to help. Linda soon got more help and Kate was taken care off. A doctor was called and the upshot is that I probably have some sort of infection causing havoc. As Linda has said i'm know on different antibiotics and Steroids and already feeling a bit better. Im still weak though and very unsteady on my feet. On Monday I really felt "is this it". Today im more hopeful. My Macmillan nurse has been round and was a help to Linda. I am eating a bit Today and without forcing Mollie to eat most of it, much to her disappointment. I have also been downstairs for a time which is really nice. Thank you all so much for your messages and when im feeling stronger I will try to catch up on your posts, Enjoy the good weather, im not allowed to, strictly big hats and shade.
Hi Bob, Linda and Katy I have followed your blog for about a year and been inspired by your strength and determination in your fight .I have popped back regularly to read your latest news and to check on your progress. My husband had cancer of the bile duct in 2007, but thankfully an operation seems to have worked (finger crossed) The events of this week have made me join your group so that I can tell you personally what a wonderful person you are,I can't believe that you are back as chirpy as ever fighting the fight. God bless you Bob, will carry on reading your wonderful diary.Very best wishes to you all.

Im getting there, Wendy, slowly but surely. Yesterday I spent a good part of the day outside after a really good nights sleep. After managing toast and coffee it seemed to set me up well for the rest of the day. I was a bit naughty as I did sit out a bit and at the end of the day Linda was not very pleased with me. My problem is im such a stubborn, headstrong bugger. I cant see that changing. Im definitely better on the eating front although not back to full rations yet. My tummy is sort of under control although sounding like a kitchen garbage gobbler most of the time. Yesterday morning we went for a short walk with me in my electric chair which was great, Kate went out with her friend and some people we know for a picnic, which was nice. Now she has a friend over from Buxton ready for her birthday party later . Her Birthday is on Wednesday. Linda has arranged her party at an activity centre and there are 13 girls and 3 boys going. It looks like another sunny day so will need my floppy hat and sun cream. I have had breakfast but now need to get up
Those of you who have grown to know Bob probably realise he did not just sit out in the sun, hence me not being very happy, its his blog and story, but just had to mention that!! He is experiencing a steroid high, long may it continue.
