Well here i am again at 4.30 in the morning and i can't sleep yet again!! My husband Darryl has terminal small cell cancer and, at the moment is going through a really good phase. Which, i would have thought, would set my mind at rest and enable me to sleep. But no, here i am again having had 2 hrs sleep tonight wide awake with mad thoughts running around my head!! This is driving me crazy and i just seem to be on auto pilot all the time. Darryl is 44 years old and we have been given a prognosis of a 2-3 year life span for him. I can't seem to let go of this thought, and maybe part of me can't sleep because of that, as i feel if i'm asleep i'm wasteing precious time!! Darryl is sound asleep and resting well, and if i stay upstairs next to him listening to his breathing, i keep thinking is this the last time i'll ever hear that and end up getting so uptight and worried that i find it better to just get up again. So i wander round the house do a few chores, have a hot caffiene free drink and will myself to sleep all to no avail i might add!! hahaha surely i'm not the only carer who never sleeps, or am i????? any comments gratefully recieved. we are OK R is at work ans is now back full time. I am off to work shortly , as soon as Gemma gets back to have Nathan. so I will miss the shinanigens again! another lovely word I had forgotten!

Hi moomy..lucky you our's is still going and has been all day!! think MHM and Juls could have sent a little bit our way couldn't they lol!! How are you, Caz and hubby doing? They're not doing Michaela's MRI scan tomorrow now, apparently they sent us a letter having changed the date though we never received it, so she has all scans on Monday and chemo (COPP) due to start, all seems a bit too much to me in one day considering that she also so to fast for the Pet scan?? Hope you are all ok and you get someshine tomorrow xxxxx

Be thinking of you both tomorrow when you see the Onco, hope all goes well :-) they aren't doing Michaela's MRI tomorrow been scheduled for Monday with her Pet scan/CT and chemo due to start again, think it all too much for one day as she is claustrophic so she has to be put out for the MRI so has to fast and then again for the pet scan (and there's no time in between) but they know best eh? my little weeble will be starving lol!! Oh, Teresa, that is just too much, everything on the same day! When are they going to get stuff like that right? poor Michaela, she will be feeling really narked and starving hungry, too! poor you, coping with it, as well!
Our rain has stopped, just went out to see, and the great big puddle of a garden has become a garden again! lets just hope we can nick the sun tomorrow, eh?
Hi moomy..if I hadn't of rang to ask for how long or if Michaela needed to fast for then we would have gone up there tomorrow, have been waiting for a phone call from UCH since 7pm as Michaela's meds run out on thursday and we were due to pick more up from them tomorrow (bloody share and care...sorry that's the L & D for you) they hadn't even notified her consultant that she'd been re-admitted last week!! anyway rant over sorry...lucky for you that the great big puddle has became a garden again...mine looks like the everglades lol!! let's hope we get the sun tomorrow eh? though forecast don't look good :-( but a woman can dream can't she...... How are you all? and how's the rehearsals going xxxx
