Hi everyone

I am just trying to navigate myself around the site.  Still struggling, but thought I would try and make a temporary place for the WTBT folk as we are all wandering round like lost souls at the moment- don't know if this will work- but worth a shot while Mac try and resurrect the old thread

    (((Pam)))

I have known you for only a short time but your strength and humour have been a huge inspiration and support to me.  I can't say how sorry I am to read your news.

May Tony rest as he went - in peace, surrounded by love, and now free from all pain and care. I believe he will live on in the good memories and the love of his family.

Good thoughts to you for strength and comfort and to your family and tony's parents.

Oh Pam,  Cathi sent me a message to let me know about Tony, I would like to add my condolences to those already received.  You have grown so much since you joined this B***** awful train and you have been inspirational.

May Tony be at peace now

Love to you and your family at this time.

    Hi Pete,

Thank you for your message. I'm on this forum daily and my heart goes out to all the new passengers and of course to our dear friends who loose their loved ones as time goes by. I'm faring a bit better now but have to admit that I went through a very rough patch over Christmas and New Year. With the help and support of a couple of my very good friends I've managed to pull myself together and now cope better with life. It's been 8 months since I lost my man and it hasn't been easy. I find it very challenging bringing up 2 teenage boys on my own.

Pete, it's good to read how well you are coping. It gives me strength knowing that if others can do it then so can I.

    Take care.

    Dear Pam,

Just a few words to say how sorry I am that Tony has passed, but also to let you know how loved and respected you are.

Thank you for everything you have written here; IMHO it should be required reading for all those professionals involved in the administration of end-of-life care, and particularly those policy-makers who know nothing about it.

Thinking of you and your children right now.

    Love and hugs, Annie

    Pam.

I'm so sorry. I've followed Tony's journey since you joined here and you've both been inspiring. I hope you find some comfort in the fact that you allowed Tony to end his journey in his own way and - as he wanted - in his own home. Tony is now free from the constraints of this hideous illness and his suffering is over.

May the upcoming days, weeks and months be gentle on you all. Eternal peace Tony.x

    With much love,

Pam - I wanted to add something.

In the future, if I were to hear "You are so beautiful to me" on the radio, know that it will always remind me of Fay's head resting on Tony's chest. A beautiful memory for you all. And when the day comes for Fay to walk down the aisle, Tony will be walking silently alongside her.

    Take care of yourselves.
