Hi everyone

I am just trying to navigate myself around the site.  Still struggling, but thought I would try and make a temporary place for the WTBT folk as we are all wandering round like lost souls at the moment- don't know if this will work- but worth a shot while Mac try and resurrect the old thread

    Ange,

So very sorry to hear of your loss. I know the mixed feelings of relief that your husband's torment is finally over, but can also relate to your intense grief over the void that he has left behind in your life. Be strong for your daughter and take each day as it comes. Thinking of you and your daughter............

    Ange,

I understand exactly what you are saying. I felt relieved for about 12 hours then I just wanted him back. I was pleased I wasn't having to spend all day every day at the hospice but on the other hand, all I wanted to do was go back to the hospice to sit with him.

I am sorry to hear G's last week was difficult. Dad's was too, pretty much non-stop seizures and moaning, mucousy breathing etc, until the last day when he was finally peaceful. In time, those memories will hopefully fade (I hope) and we will only be able to remember the good times.

Lots of love to you and your daughter.

Ange - I forgot to add, mum couldn't face dealing with the practicalities and the day after dad died the Hospice called mum in and arranged everything for her, even making the appointment to register dad's death.

With the help of my sister she is coping with arranging the funeral (next Tues) but for now, everything else can wait. Baby steps, one day at a time.xxxx

I am going in to hospital at 6.30 tomorrow morning as my son is having surgery. I will be having a mini-break in there for a few days (trying to put a positive spin on it - I hate hospitals and it's about an hour's drive away so will miss my other kids) so will be absent from here. I would like to extend my good wishes to all on here, some of whom are going through particularly difficult times. I will be thinking of each and every one of you.

    With love, Naomi.xx

    Dear Ange,

Every time I have signed in over the past week, I have been expecting your post, but it makes it no less difficult or painful. I am so sorry for the pain and anguish you have all been suffering, my thoughts and heart go out to you and your daughter and for G who has now been released and delivered. from this disease. I know that you will find the reserves you need to manage over the hours and days to follow.

Although we have never met, Ange, and Naomi and Sharron, for what it's worth, I have thought about you all so much of late and send my love, willing you the grace and strength to cope with what life is dealing out to you...
