Hi everyone

I am just trying to navigate myself around the site.  Still struggling, but thought I would try and make a temporary place for the WTBT folk as we are all wandering round like lost souls at the moment- don't know if this will work- but worth a shot while Mac try and resurrect the old thread

    Hi Allison,

Good to hear from you again, I'm sorry it's still so very hard for you.

Mandy was very, very forceful with me, I can't wait to be naughty again, very soon!

Please take care and keep in touch.

    Hi Everyone

Jean and MumMaggie, never fear, we're here for you.

Jean it was lovely to read that Paul was so obviously loved by so many - I can only hope you can take comfort from that.  I have no words to take away your sadness, I know it's something we all have to find a way to cope with so hopefully knowing that we are here for you at anytime will go some way in helping you cope.  Take care xx

Turkishgirl, thanks for your support for us carers, it was really nice to have that said, thank you.  Your brother seems to be getting the care you would want for him(Blue Cross nurses - same as Macmillan??) - I'm glad he is not suffering pain, it is a problem for P, to watch someone in pain is really awful, the feeling of helplessness is awful too - so like I say it's good to read Tony isn't suffering that.

Allison, yes, I agree, good to hear from you - it's lovely that people step back onto the train and pop in to say hi.  Hopefully my magical powers of persuasion will work their wonders on Martyn for some time to come, a tricky headstrong character if ever there was one, but maybe I've just whipped him into shape - and I like a bit of naughty so he can bring it on!!!

Things aren't so great for P - breathing difficulty associated with aspirating and increased headaches - really would like to be able to sit down and discuss all these increasing problems with someone, but as I've said before, until something else acute happens we plod on and hope.

    Take care everyone xxxx

HI Allison, Nice to hear from you but sad you are having a hard time. Your Mum would want you to be happy you know. xx

Turkish girl, wishing you strength. It's hard to be far away too. xx

We are taking each day at a time - old cliches are the best. Some days better than others.

    Best wishes to all reading.

Allison, just wanted to say I know exactly how you feel its 5 months to my Mum on Tuesday and I find it getting harder rather than the supposed easier that everyone kept saying that time is a healer, I have not been on Mac much as I hate the new format, if you do want to private message me if you know how as I have not figured than one out yet then please do, we are both in the same boat and I am willing to chat to you.

Hope everyone else is as well as can be expected, I really find this new thread useless, why did they have to change!

Hi Lorraine, really lovely to hear from you too.  I'm unsure about the phrase time being a healer, isn't it more that you have to learn to cope and that will take lots of time, it is still early days I think so don't be hard on yourself.

CH, sending you some extra big hugs - you're always so generous to everyone who comes on here and I think you deserve them, especially just now xx

SusiiQ - hope you're feeling a whole lot warmer!

Sadly, Tony's train journey is over and he is at peace now.

I want to thank you all for your kindness and for being there for me through his period of illness, without you all I would have been lost.

Turkishgirl I am so sorry for your loss. There is little comfort to be had at this time but know that many on here will be thinking of you. I hope that you have people around you to love and support you,

    With love and thoughts
