Weird feeling

Hi

Not sure where to post this.

I have recently had two tumours removed from my neck and have had two rounds of chemo. I've been experiencing some of the normal side effects from the treatment and surgery. But today I woke up feeling odd. A weird feeling I can't explain. I know this is very vague but I signed up here to see if any else has felt similar (being unable to describe a feeling that doesn't feel good). Normally I can describe things (like a headache, sore muscles, sickness etc.) but this is different. Is it a sign of my body shutting down?

Aside from that, I feel a bit hopeless. I'm not good at talking to people and don't have many people I can turn to for support so getting through it day by day largely on my own.

Any responses would be appreciated.

Thank you

Luke

  • Hi and a warm welcome to the online community

I'm sorry to hear that you're not feeling well today. Probably the best idea is to give your CNS a call or make an appointment to see your GP.

Could I also suggest that you join the head and neck cancer group and post your question there as well as here. In that group you can share experiences and get support from others who have had cancer in that area. To join just click on the link I've created and then choose 'join this group' on the page that opens.

When you have a minute it would be really useful if could pop something about your journey so far into your profile as it really helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Edit Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

I hope these weird feelings soon go and you continue on your recovery.
