My dad’s suffered this awful disease for 4 years now. We’ve just found out he’s got fluid on lungs and given a time frame of weeks left. I cannot cope, I’m to young with two young children.
My older one has some understanding and wants to visit her grandad in hospital but he has good and bad days and I don’t want her last memory of her grandad being him in hospital but then I also don’t want the last time her seeing him being the last and her to have a chance of saying goodbye.
I’m so lost I feel numb I just want this to end and my dad back to being my dad. He’s had no side effects this whole time and looking at him and how active he was the past 4 years you wouldn’t even know and he’s just gone down hill so rapidly
If you're older child wants to visit grandad and grandad is happy for them to visit then I personally would let that happen.
