New to the group husband going through Radiotherapy & Chemotherapy. Larynx throat cancer. Unfortunately due to his breathing had a tracheoscopy fitted. Some days are better than others. Just taking a day at a time.
Hi Carebear, I'm Tony one of the Online Champions, as you see I've had a Laryngectomy for throat cancer so I didn't have chemo and RT, we do though after the removal of the voicebox breath via a stoma in the neck so much like a Trachy, unfortunately Chemo and RT is very vicous with the throat area and he will take a bashing, I had it for high up OS Cancer and it effected my wind/breathing airway causing bad blistering. There are support booklets for the head and Neck Cancers :
An extreemly good support Charity for freebies and extra help is Swallows
Hope he copes okay, both take care,
Tony

I am a bit disappointed in this community page if I am honest. I thought it would be more like a group were everybody came together and shared their 'journey' the ups and the downs. Not for me I am afraid. Wishing everyone well whatever you are facing.
