Hi all,
My best friend was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. She's 33 years old so it came as a shock.
I lost my mum to breast cancer 10 years ago. So digesting all this has been a lot.
Any advice on things that may help? I am in therapy and the worst hit about this is that my best friend and i live in different countries.
Thanks,
Seb
Welcome to our community, I hope you find it both supportive and informative.
Sorry to hear about your friend and your mum.
Quite a lot of the information on here is naturally focused on the UK but it might be helpful to look at the main site on breast cancer.
Perhaps focusing more on you then perhaps the information in Your feelings when someone has cancer may be helpful.I certainly find being able to identify these emotions and accept them as part of my new normal can help to make them feel less overwhelming.
<<hugs>>
Steve
