Hello,

I have posted on this forum before, around 18 months ago no about my mum suddenly being diagnosed with Non- Hodgkin Lymphoma and how to manage it.

With the help of the amazing team at Guy’s and my family, my mum made a full recovery and was in remission for several months at the end of 2024 and the start of 2025.

However, almost a month ago now, a scan revealed that my mum’s NHL has returned and she has been assigned CAR-T cell treatment. With Chemo ect.

I am an A level bio student and so can understand the treatment and how it works but would appreciate some input from anyone who has had it before- side effects, experiences ect- Her consultant is amazing and I have full faith in him but would appreciate any advice.

Thanks,

RG X

  • Hi

I'm sorry to read that your mum's cancer has returned and it's a great idea to find out how other people have found the treatment.

As you know the online community is divided into different support groups so the best place to post your questions would be in the non-Hodgkin lymphoma group as you'll then connect directly with others having the same treatment as your mum.

To join, just click on the link I've created and, once you've joined, you can start a new post in the same way as you did here and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.

It would be great if you could put something about your mum's diagnosis and proposed treatment into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
