Hello,
my condolences if you have lost somebody close to you
I lost my mum just over 2 weeks ago. I am absolutely heartbroken and really struggling. We were so close, she was only 57 and I’m an only child. I also have a 2 year old and next of kin so I’m finding I can’t really grieve as I’m looking after my son & sorting my mums things. All I want to do is hide in bed. Would love to chat to anyone going through this horrible experience and share support, good days & bad.
Xx
Hi Sharkle11
Sorry to hear about your mum, I lost mine 11 years ago but really remember the struggle at the time. Our son was just a little bit older at the time too.
There is no right or wrong way to grieve though often people find all the work including sorting things out almost makes them so busy they do not really find as much time as they might like.
While you are welcome to post here you might find more contact in our Bereaved family and friends forum though if it might help you are welcome to phone the helpline. When you are ready you might also find support through cruse or the loss foundation.
It took me a while to adjust, things like not phoning mum up on Saturday morning but got there in the end. Also looking back of the good times I had when I was younger.
<<hugs>>
Steve
