Hi husband told he had high grade tcell lymphoma beginning of july! Told then he would need radiotherapy & possibly chemo .
He has been referred to different specialists due to unusual cancer! Just seen latest specialist who thinks  cancer was removed in biopsy so no treatment needed! No clear margins as lymphomas dont work that way we told.

I am struggling with this! We asked about pet scan- no need she said! Will ct scan in 3 months!
How do they know its gone? What if it hasnt? I know we should be celebrating but i cant help thinking they are wrong! Last month he needed radiotherapy & probably chemo- we were given a cancer nurse contact!!

We have spent last 5 weeks preparing ourselves for radiotherapy etc I have reduced my working hours to very few to support hubby through this!
i am lost, he is quiet and cant believe what we were told! Its been a huge shock and we still reeling!
Anyone else had similar? How to cope?  The ct scan he had has shown other things which now need referrals etc so more to get our head around!

  • Hi

I can understand why you're struggling with the news that your husband's cancer has been removed and that no further treatment is necessary.

As you know, the online community is divided into different support forums so I'm going to recommend that you also join and post in the T-cell lymphomas forum as it will give you the chance to directly connect with others who may also have been in the same position as your husband.

To join, just click on the link I've created and, once you've joined, you can start a new post in the same way as you did here and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.

It would be great if you could put something about your husband's diagnosis and treatment into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
