Hi everyone,
My husband had been in remission from Hodgkin’s lymphoma since April last year. Every time he has anything wrong with him (like an upset tummy), he immediately thinks it’s cancer - which I can totally understand. What can I say to him to reassure him that it’s unlikely to be a different cancer but at the same time acknowledge that what he’s feeling is a valid reaction to what he’s been through?
Thanks,
KP81
Hi @kp81,
My wife and I live with cancer - her Leiomyosarcoma is stable so monitoring in case anything changes but yes it is easy to think is this cancer again. I did find this page on Lymphoma action that might help understand the stage he is in.
Hope that helps - and in the meantime I home you both get to find the joy in your life you deserve.
<<hugs>>
Steve
