My daughter is having 3 monthly scans as with so many other people. I really feel for her ,waiting for the results which can take 3-4 weeks ,so 1 month out of 3 is spent being anxious
How do people cope with this anxiety? I am also constantly thinking about the results so can only imagine what it's like for her. Was it quicker getting results back before the pandemic ? Does anyone have any advice on how to cope with the waiting?
I know how important the scans are but it doesn't help her lead a normal life which is her ultimate aim.

Hi Helper always, welcome to the forum and so sorry to hear whats happening for you and your daughter.
Sadly waiting for scans and results are something we can all empathise with you about, its the pits, all the waiting. The only way that I know how to cope whilst waiting is to keep super busy and then you don't have time to think about things so much, but it will likely keep you from some sleep until you know the results.
Im not sure how much difference the pandemic is making as you will know that lots of services were put on hold so there are some huge backlogs, that said if there is any doubt about whats going on then they usually move fairly quickly. By quickly I mean in weeks rather then days so still a long wait when waiting on results.
Hope that the results come back and all is well for you and your family but please do keep in touch and let us know how it goes for you as we will be thinking of you and your family. xxx
