My dad was diagnosed with bowel cancer in January, he has secondaries in liver and now lung. He was given oral chemo but only half dose as the hospital didn’t feel like he was strong enough to deal with the full dose, subsequently the chemo has done nothing and 4 weeks ago we were told that no further treatment would be given. We knew there wasn’t a cure, we just thought it would give us a bit longer after chemo. The doctors said he had months rather than weeks but he has declined rapidly in the last week and can now barely get up out of bed.
I don’t really know how I feel just that I feel lost. It’s my mums birthday today and she has been in tears all day. How do we cope because we really don’t know
