My mum was recently told she had precancerous cells in her womb and hand a full hysterectomy taking lymph nodes too. She was called last week to say they found cancer in her womb and one lymph node. She doesn’t want to ask questions about stats and prognosis etc and I appreciate that! However I am really worried about the future and what is next for her! So far she has been told it will probably be radiotherapy but I know she is worried about the fact they found it in a lymph node. Can anyone shed any light in this for me? I keep thinking they have removed everything and it’s gone, but still worrying about the implications! Thanks in advance for any insight x

  • Hi and welcome to the online community

I'm very sorry to hear that your mum has recently been diagnosed with womb cancer which has spread to a lymph node.

I can't answer your question but I can recommend that you also join the womb cancer group where you can ask questions and share experiences with others who have this type of cancer.

To join just click on the link I've created and then choose 'join this group' on the page that opens. You can then post your question about about your mum's treatment after selecting 'start a discussion' and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.

When you have a minute, it would be really useful if you could pop something about your mum's journey so far into your profile as it really helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Edit Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

    Sending a supportive ((hug))
