Hi everyone,
I’m caring for my uncle who has stage 4 lung cancer. He had 4 doses of radiotherapy on friday instead of going every day, that’s all the treatment he’ll be having. He’s moved in with me today and is quite poorly and totally out of it. Can anyone share their experience of this treatment, specifically having multiple doses in one day?
many Thanks x
Hi and welcome to the online community
I'm sorry to see that your uncle has lung cancer and it's natural that you'd want to do all you can to help him.
I hope you don't mind me suggesting that you join and post your question in the lung cancer group, as the people there would probably be best placed to share their experiences of radiotherapy for lung cancer with you.
To join just click on the link I've created and then choose 'join this group' on the page that opens. You can then introduce yourself and post questions after selecting 'start a discussion' and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.
When you have a minute it would be useful if could pop something about your uncle's journey so far into your profile as it really helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Edit Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
