My mam was told she had breast cancer in November. She has the op and they havent found any more cancer in her body.
She is on chemo number 4. I am so worried about her. She has lost all her hair (which I knew it would happen), she really not well.
What with everything that going on in the world, I am just so worried. She is also type 1 diabetic.
She is closer to my brother than me, so she doesnt tell me everything. I just really worry about her. She is my everything, and I dont know how to cope. Thank you for listening xx
Hi and welcome to the community though sorry to hear about your mum.
It is good news that they did not find any more cancer and so I guess the chemo they recommended is to try to ensure there are no pockets of cells hiding, chemo however can be really very hard and can make people seem really unwell but when it is over people to tend to recover fairly quickly.
You seem concerned your mother is not telling you everything, is it possible though this is because she does not know herself? Even the doctors cannot be certain about things - my wife being a case in point where she continues to surprise the oncology team with how well she responded to treatment.
<<hugs>>
Steve
