1 week since we found out mums cancer has spread to her spine and bones from her lungs. 2 weeks since I last hugged my mum. Hospice is now increased her pain relief. I'm scared I may not get to hug my mum? We don't know the prognosis, as mum was on her own when the doctors told her everything as covid 19 we weren't allowed to be with her. I don't know what to think, feel, I'm numb but angry. Just so want to go hug her so bad

In terms of prognosis, they are a guess based on averages and are often more troublesome than they are worth. My wife never wanted one and I really struggled with that but she has gone on to break every single one of the "rules" of her kind of cancer and carries on being simply amazing so who really knows.
Anger is a very common emotional response to a cancer diagnosis, you might find some of the information in looking after someone with cancer quite helpful especially the bits around the emotional support you can provide to your mum and in turn the emotional support you need, I am glad you came here because we really will do our best in trying to help each other.
