My father had a scan last friday as they think he heas bladder cancer, secondary cancer in lungs, lesions in chest which means it's spreading. I had tp phone his doctor this morning who is trying to find out what's going on. Ive been told nothing else and meanwhile my dad is fetting worse. Sleeps mist o time, hardly eats, cant wash or change, getting weaker by the hour and his breathing is getting worse. I feel like he was discharged from hosp just for me to sit and watch him die. I ive on my own with him and dont know what to do
Hi
I'm sorry to hear that after your dad's scan last Friday the doctors think he has got bladder cancer which has spread to his lungs.
If, as you say, your dad has been discharged from hospital then his GP is now responsible for coordinating his care. His GP can arrange for all sorts of help for you and you might like to take a look at this information from Macmillan to see what sort of support you can get as a carer.
You might also find that posting in the carers only group, which I can see that you've joined, will put you in touch with other carers who can give you advice and support.
