Hi everyone,
I'm Lucy and, in the midst of the chaos of day three of isolating with my children and husband, I was thinking that there might be lots lovely people on the site who are feeling a bit lonely or worried whilst we're all in isolation. I'm just dropping in to say hi and to say that I'll be checking in everyday so if there's anyone out there who would like a friendly ear or just simply someone to talk to through these strange days ahead, then I'll be here ready to listen . Be warned though, you may have to listen to me moaning about the joys of self isolation with a houseful of bored small people! Here for anyone who's feeling a bit lonely. Lucy x
Morning everyone,
Beautiful sunny day here in Norfolk and, despite all that's going on in the world, nature still comes up trumps. I can see the sun shining on the broad and the ducks and swans are serenely gliding by, blissfully unaware. The cherry trees are looking beautiful and, for the first time in 4 years, I've got blossom on my peach tree so fingers crossed that I might actually get a peach this year!
Hope everyone's doing OK this morning. I'm enjoying a peaceful cuppa before the children come clattering down the stairs!
Wishing everyone the best day possible, Lucy x
I am so thankful to have small garden and my husband back from off shore (for now!).
We bought some bird seed and plants etc yesterday - thank goodness.
Spring is my favorite time of year....... I'm so relieved that we don't have to go through this in the middle of a dark and cold winter.
Hi,
Lovely to hear from you. Yes, me too. At least we'll be able to get outside in the sunshine.I I do feel for those without any outside spacem in the middle of trying to create a new cottage garden, just like the one that my grandparents had when I was little. Managed to order some seeds and compost today so hopefully the children will be able to help to grow things to keep them busy.Great that your husband's home for a while. Let's hope he can stay put for now. I'm sure it's going to be difficult but one small glimmer is that it's good for us to slow down and take time to enjoy the small things closer to home that usually pass us by when we're out working.
Have a lovely evening, Lucy x
