Hi, I’m new here, hope it’s ok to ask this question.... although I think it has a pretty obvious answer..... My hubby is planning to visit his mum for Mother’s Day tomorrow, she lives about an hour away so he sees her infrequently. She is mid chemo, he is a mental health nurse. He is well and his client group is low risk for C19.... but should he visit or not?? (Also, she is 70 next month)
Hi and welcome to the community, though sorry to hear about your mother-in-law especially going through chemo at the moment.
As a health professional I am sure your husband is aware of the risks of feeling cut off from the rest of the world and also is well coached in personal hygiene issues. The final decision of course has to rest with his mother.
As you say he sees her infrequently do you know what support she has the rest of the time?
<<hugs>>
Steve
Thank you Steve, it’s a dilemma! I’m a nurse in hospital and although in a ‘low risk’ am choosing to stay away.
My sister in law lives a few mins away and is very close to her mum, also my mum in law has loads of friends and is very tech savvy so is in touch via Facebook/Messenger.
thanks again
