Hi, Mum got diagnosed with extensive small cell lung cancer a few months ago and has had extensive Chemo and Radiation Therapy.
Its the in between stage now of waiting for the scan to see how / where the cancer has grown back and how quick.
To this day, mum refuses to accept this diagnosis and feels the treatment has cured her despite the letters and meetings with the specialists saying otherwise.
Without coming out and saying it's terminal, I don't wanna pop mums bubble but I'm now struggling with the day to day inevitability of whats to come.
Any good coping methods? I'm the kind of person that wants to know, mum doesn't.

It's only natural that you want to know the best way to help you mum and also how to cope yourself. You say that your mum "refuses" to accept this diagnosis" but she may be very aware of it but chooses to carry on as if there's nothing wrong as a way of coping. Has she been told that she is now terminal or have you spoken to her oncologist on your own?
Many people with cancer don't want to know their prognosis and this may include your mum. If this is the case you'll need to respect her wishes as hard as this may be for you.

I hope your mum's scan results show that the treatment she's had has stopped the tumours from growing or even shrunk them.
