Hi I haven’t posted in a while but I just had to...I am heart broken as most of you know my dad has stage four throat cancer he has been having treatment and last Wednesday they put a RIG in for his feed well on sat he was vomiting and in a lot of pain he was admitted to the marsden in Sutton and they told us he was constipated but by Tuesday no bowel movement and pain was worse and not breathing well he then they told us he had Aspiration pneumonia but they did a CT scan then they said he needed emergency surgery so he was blue lighted to madden in Fulham he is in intensive care he is on a ventilator his lung has collapsed he has drains he next 72 hours are critical I’m so heart broken to see dad like this I’m very scared he won’t make it

Thank you all, just an update dad is still on a  ventilator not able to breathe on his own on lots of different ABX and is still sedated. But they where able to take the chest drain out and I hope it stays out when I go tomorrow, he is no worse but no better

my children want to come and see him tomorrow I’m a bit nervous about taking them as they are 5 and 7 but the nurses say we can bring them! But intensive care is a scary place
