Hi all,
I think im putting this as I really just need somewhere to put that I really am fed up.
I was diagnosed with endometrial cancer in March, I had a total hysterectomy and oophectomy done 17 days ago, when they took the catheter out I went into retention and my bladder stretched to hold 1.5litres . Needless to say after a 2nd catheter I started with a uti but I managed to go home without a catheter.
Was on Antibiotics but after a week I still had symptoms so GP changed me over.
1/7 the symptoms returned with a vengeance. Not wanting to cause a bother to a very busy A&e and I waited for the GP the next day. I later ended up in A&e, sat waiting as a long wait and so I ended up in resus with sepsis.
I am still sat on a gynae ward have Antibiotics pumped in as I have an uncontrollable fever. As soon as the paracetamol runs out it shoots through the roof. Nobody can find a cause for it. I still have abdo pain and have been here for nearly week and seen that many people come and go yet I cant go home yet. The Dr just told me I wouldn't still be here if I didnt need to be here, on one hand I want to go home, yet on the other I need to know why I am spiking temps. Worse thing is that they dont know either.
Fed up, cheesed off, worried it may be something nasty but my provisional stage is only stage 1a grade 2 so I very much doubt it, and very tired after 6 days of limited sleep.
Heya.
If you have a medical team talk to them. They can hopefully give you more advice and fight for you too. You should call tomorrow to ask for another follow up scan and appointment. Good luck. Request a scan pronto. It’s time to literally push for tests to figure out what is happening. When I was in for the first time to get referred I had an emergency MRI done that provided more details. I also got a bone biopsy done.
Hi, thanks for your reply. Well I have just been for another Ct after being woken up at 10pm, I had an early night following a bit of an almighty following an allergic reaction to a new antibiotic,
I didnt think I was getting it until the morning but you never know it may have been reported upon when I wake up.
But typical I was fast asleep, now wide awake again lol.
