Third anniversary of ny.diagnosis was 28th December and would you credit we have been dragged back into a whirlpool of emotions. My wife had her routine mammogram at the start of December and got called back for further tests on 22.12 as they had found an irregularity. She got a call yesterday at 9. asking her to attend a consultation at 11. The sample had come back as cancerous and appointment with surgeon scheduled for 07.01 to discuss lump (about the size of a penny) and lymph node removal. Radiologist we saw yesterday said that it had been caught early, so fingers crossed we are hoping that only surgery will be needed.
Hello Mick (Mick 28.12.22 )
I am Brian, one of the Community Champions here on the Online Community. I can understand your emotions as it's a very different feeling when it's a loved one being diagnosed, you just don't have the same control or worry as you do when it's your own cancer. However I feel sure you wife will have some amazing support from you as you will "understand" just what she's going through now.
Here's a link to a group you may want to join to support her, or she may wish to sign up and join herself:
I wish you both well moving forward.
Best wishes - Brian.
