AND I AM STILL EXHAUSTED IS THIS NORMAL
Hi Annie1974 the simple answer is yes. I am now over 7 years out from my last treatment so doing as good as any 67 year old.
But at about the same time as you post my last treatment I was not long fished 4 months of physiotherapy to get me back walking and then a further 16 months to say I was over my fatigue...... and all the other health challenges I had...(see my story below)
My Consultant told me that going through cancer treatments can be like doing a boxing match and a marathon every day over the months of treatments and this was done without any training.
Think doing the London Marathon without any training and you had to finish it as your life depended on it……. this is the journey you have been on so it most likely this will take much longer than you would think to get back to some normality.
Obviously my type of cancer is different and my treatment journey was different but give yourself time to recover... you will get there.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
