  • Hi , so sorry to hear about your struggles. I am not the best person to help as even although I have been on my incurable blood cancer journey for over 23 years but I am fortunate enough not to have to have dealt with any level of loneliness or anxiety.

I am a very pragmatic person so my journey is what it is and my goal is always to focus on the positives - there are always positives and not let the negatives define me.

But let’s see if there are group members who can relate to your position and you may find some connections in our Life after cancer group as well

Talking to people face to face can be very helpful so do check to see if you have any Local Macmillan Support in your area, do also check for a local Maggie's Centre as these folks are amazing.

We also have our Telephone Buddy Service where you can be matched with someone who understands what you're going through, and they'll give you a weekly call.

  • Hi Nikki , I’m new to the group just diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer so still got the healing journey to go.
Well done for coming this far. Kissing heart

Possibly you haven’t processed the trauma of what you have been through , the shock, the changes to your life , the treatment etc.

Have you  thought about some counselling to help you deal with the trauma and loss of normality.
