Hi everyone I'm new to this group.

My husband was recently diagnosed with bladder cancer. This unfortunately is not our first time dealing with cancer as our daughter was diagnosed at age 7 with cancer she is cancer free know and has been for the last 4 years.

Since my husband has been diagnosed I have found it hard and have took time off from work recently as was finding it hard to cope with work home and everything else. I have been off for 4 weeks my husband is still receiving treatment but I'm not sure if I should try to gp back to work or stay off till chemotherapy has ended.

Some advice would be great. Has anyone been thought similar Thinking

  • Hi and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.

I'm sorry to read that this is the second time that you're having to deal with cancer but it's great that your daughter has fully recovered.

As you know the online community is divided up into different support groups so I hope you don't mind me suggesting that you also join and post in the carers only group where you can ask questions, share experiences and get support from others who have a loved one living with cancer.

If you'd like to do this just click on the link I've created which will take you straight to the group where you can join and post in the same way as you did here. You can also join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.

It would be great if you could pop something about your husband's diagnosis and treatment into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

If you have any difficulty navigating the community just drop me a reply and I'll be pleased to help
