Hello,This sounds stupid,but I am beyond terrified of this vaccine, as I am on beta blockers propranolol for anxiety & my hubby has terminal cancer of prostate, bone & lung cancer. He is doing well & we are keeping positive as possible, but I dont want this vaccine to upset him. As no one can come up with a date sheet on it. I get the feeling we will be forced into having this vaccine, otherwise we will not be allowed into our local garden centre for a coffee.Talked about no choice. Sorry to moan .But I am scared. Lots of people are terrified of cancer and so much so it is almost a forbidden subject of conversation - well except for us in the know.
Just about everyone has been terrified of covid and of course the significant impact it has had on the NHS and the news routinely reports the number of people who have been infected and those that have died. It is all still very much an unknown of course.
The doctors and scientists have been massively busy coming up with these vaccines. Normally the stages in the development are done step by step with significant pauses between each step while the next funding decisions are made - this has not happened this time but still all the stages have still been followed.
Talking to people can be really helpful to support us with all kinds of anxiety. We all take risks every day - often for instance people talk about wedding jitters but looking back would we have changed a single thing.
Keep talking - and if you get that opportunity for a coffee - grab it with both hands.
