Not been on here for a while but can't sleep and things are coming back in my mind , my eosphogeal cancer operation was 5 years ago on April 2nd and things are going well , I am still clear although I still have odd bad days . Staying at home and not going out but I live alone so no one to talk to , both my parents have died and my brother lives 80 miles away but he is just starting to recover from this coronavirus infection so can't talk without coughing . There's lot of people worse off than me but feel so low as miss my swimming and walking groups , sorry to waffle on but I miss talking to people

  • You still awake? So am I. Hope you are asleep now, but thought I'd say hi, you are not alone, others are in a similar position. Take care.

Did eventually get to sleep and had a lie in , been keeping myself busy in my garage and managed to eat more often so might be able to get to sleep tonight , its nice to know some one is out there , just want this lock down to finish as I have spent a bit of time writing down things I want to do and places I want to go , here's to the future

  • Night night to you, , hope you have a better night.

This is such a horrible time. My husband has highly aggressive Gleason 9 too risky for surgery prostate cancer. It’s so hard not being able to leave the house as we have been told to shield. I am enjoying being in contact with friends using WhatsApp’ messenger etc. I have also enjoyed the local community chats. Does your area have anything similar. Our local food shops have been outstanding and deliver food to us. Perhaps if you spoke to a community group you could make new friends. I know I have called people that are know to be living alone just for a friendly chat to see if they need anything and just to let them know they are being thought of.

Look after yourself. Hopefully the world will be much friendlier after this.
