Hi .
Don't laugh but think I have a huge problem .
Since finishing treatment and starting to feel half normal what ever that is ive got into a habit I'm scared on my own.
And at night awaken up soaked in sweat so started sleeping in the recliner in livingroom.
Just don't know what is going through my head.
I'm great during the day its when it comes to bedtime
Any ideas or advice
Has anyone else experienced anything like this
Hi
It might be worth reposting this in the Life after cancer group.
Seems to me what you're experiencing is quite normal, now the treatment's done. It's like someone's pulled the safety net away.
You also say you're scared of being on your own, but then you go n put yourself in that position by sleeping in the recliner coz of being soaked in sweat. It seems you can't win can you?
Could b you'd find it useful to talk to someone about it, either via your GP or looking at "in your area" to find a local Macmillan or Maggie's centre to speak with someone face to face. Failing that, you can ring the helpline on 0808 808 0000, 8am to 8pm, 7 days a week.
