Hi. Newbee here. I have recently been diagnosed with cancer of the oesophagus. However i will be having curitive surgery in Sheffield in the new year. So its a positive prognosis for me. I think i am pretty certain i am going to make it. I have 6 to 8 weeks of chemo lined up pre surgery  Any support from you lovely people on here would be appriciated. I am lucky that i have a lovely lady to support me. I am 69 male who has never smoked  but still have a lot of living to do! Sending positive vibes from Sheffield. Regards chris

  • Hi Chris, , a second welcome to the community,

May I invite you to add a bit to your profile so that folk can see where you are " coming from" b so you don't have to keep repeating yourself.

As  says, keep up the positive attitude. It definitely helps.

Good luck with the chemo b surgery. Let us know how the op goes.

Fear of the unknown is the worst thing. Once we know what we're facing, we find the strength to deal with it.
