I'd recommend that you give the Macmillan Support Line a call on 0808 808 0000. It's free to call and they have a work support team and also a welfare rights team who will be able to answer your questions. Both teams are available Monday to Friday with the former being there from 8am to 6pm and the latter from 8am to 8pm.
