Hi
i am sorry to post as feel a complete fraud here . I have recently had a lumpectomy and lymph nodes surgery and awaiting my follow up appointment
but feel so lonely and scared and tearful is this normal?
Hi TP69,
Welcome to the forum although I’m sorry to read about what is currently happening for you.
I would say what you are feeling is completely normal. That is not to underplay the significance of what you are feeling, but I, like lots of other people on here, have or are feeling regularly lonely, scared and tearful.
Do you have people around you that you can talk to and share how you feel?
Also, you are definitely not a fraud. All thoughts/feelings/emotions are valid and it is important to express them in order to look after yourself, so I’m very glad that you have.
I’m not sure what cancer you have, but you might also want to join that specific part of the forum too to get additional support?
But please stick around here too, lots of us understand the emotional turmoil that cancer brings.
All the best
Greg
