I'm currently on Chemo and have just lost my hair, and am pretty certain that I'll lose my eyebrows soon. A couple of years ago I went through the same thing. I'm useless at trying to draw on eyebrows, and did feel so bare without them, but just couldn't get the knack so gave up. Does anyone have any practical ideas? The thought of attempting to draw them on every day and having them wonky is a nightmare. Is there anything semi-permanent you can have done or something to make it simpler?

Many thanks for any advice,

Wendy

i lost all body hair, but the eyebrows most of all made me not look like me,if you see what i mean. i am a hairdresser and also have done a bit of beauty in my time and the best advice i learned in beauty was never pencil in eye brows. use a dark brown matte eyeshadow with a thin brush, thats what i did and when i was telling one of my sisters how pleased i was when my eyebrows started growing back she said oh did you lose your eyebrows????? what makes it even funnier is she seen me everyday she only lives round the corner, turns out none of my family (except my daughter, who`s in the trade) noticed cos i used to do them straight after my shower, even if i wasn`t wearing any other make up. of course if yours are naturally lighter then go lighter but the darker shades make them more defined, but it must be matte no shmmer no shine good luck . you cant tint as there is nothing to tint

I have lost all my hair and my brows and eyelashes are now thinning. I found a website called headcovers.com who do a range of products including some for eyebrow loss. I have bought some eyebrow transfers in readiness but can't really comment yet on how good they will look cos I haven't used them yet. They even had some 'hair brows on a gel adhesive which were pricier.

Will let you know how I get on in time but take a peek at this site. I ordered other stuff from them and was pleased with everything I ordered including speed of delivery (they are in the USA)

    Hope this helps.

Hi there. I have met a lady who had breast cancer a few years ago and lost her hair at the time through chemo. She has now trained in make up tattooing as she knows how it feels to lose eyebrows, eyelashes etc. She did a demonstration last year at an event I was attending and it was amazing the difference it made! Once tattooed you don't have to worry about putting it on every day. I think she said it lasted for up to 2 months.

Above is a link to a site that does this but I'm not endorsing it, it's just to show what's possible! (I'm not too good with computers so you may have to cut and paste the link into Google).

    Take care

  • Hi Wooster , I lost hair from my head to my toes , everything went , I called my beautician after chemo they can't touch you for 6 MTHS & to get microblading it a year , so I've been drawing mine on & it's worse as I have neuropathy in my finger tips which makes it harder to hold a pen/pencil..
