I don't really know the best place to go with this one. But I thought that since it's a side effect of my chemotherapy,I thought this would be a good place to start.
I have Sicca syndrome (dry mouth and eyes) After chemo the back of my throat feels swollen causing me to feel nauseous and very easily vomit. It's causing me a lot of problems. I was wondering if anyone else has this problem. Because nobody can see anything wrong in my throat they won't listen to me.
Hi Den64
I am sorry to hear that you have sicca syndrome and that the back of your throat feels swollen. It sounds really unpleasant for you.
I had chemo in 2022 and I also had a dry mouth and eyes during treatment. I was prescribed moisturising eye drops and also a mouthwash that helped a bit. Both resolved after treatment.
I have done a quick search on the online community and can not find any previous posts about sicca. There were other posts however about having dry mouth and eyes during chemotherapy.
I wonder if the best thing may be to give the Support Line a call and to talk to one of the nurses who may be able to advise you.
Alternatively you could post in the Ask an Expert section although it may take a few days to get a reply.

I hope that you can get some more advice and some treatment soon.
