My husband had his first chemo this afternoon but unfortunately they had to stop after about 10 minutes because he had a bad allergic reaction which means he now has to have his treatment at the main oncology centre rather than one of the smaller units has anyone else had this happen when having dioxatel
Hi Patience sorry to hear this….. unfortunately it often happens.
I have had over 750hrs of chemo and I had to have IV antihistamines along with my chemo as I have a significant drug allergy…… this had me in a main ward for 5 nights/6 days on my 2 IV pumps 24/7 for over 120hrs for each of the 6 cycles.
What type of cancer does your husband have?
