What is the best kind of food to be eating
Hi Katt23. When I was having my chemo, the basic advice was a normal balanced diet, gentle exercise and plenty of rest. Avoid anything greasy. Make sure everything is cooked thoroughly and fruit and veg well washed. Better to eat smaller meals more often than the usual 3 big meals a day. I found I could eat pretty much anything without any problems. As my taste buds started to fade, I got used to spicy foods and still like a vindaloo today. Best wishes.
Katt. It's important to keep eating to keep your strength up. I found bananas and peanut butter on toast easy to eat. Just as important is to keep well hydrated with plenty of fluids. Take your anti sickness meds as prescribed. They are designed to help prevent nausea. No good to stop it if it happens. I found the fear of what may happen was much worse than what actually did happen. Best wishes.
