I was fine apart from weak and queezy after first but my 2nd saw me in A+E within 24hrs with fever and rash. Scarily the fever alerted covid but luckily a chest X-ray was clear. The fever finally went down and a uti diagnised and I was allowed home on 2x anti bots. I’m so scared of this having on #3
has this happened to others?
Hi Kimbo56,
I developed a fever a few days after chemo number 1 and also ended up in A&E, admitted to infection control ward. This was mid February before covid got here but I was still very scared. Tests eventually indicated a UTI and I was discharged with antibiotics and antifungals. I haven’t had any problems at all following the next two chemo cycles - I’ve just made sure to drink as much water as I possibly can to flush all the chemo out of my system.
Best wishes, Nell x
Hi Neil

do you know if you went on a reduced dose to stop it happening again?
im drinking as such as I can
wishing the rest of your treatment continues going well
