Hi All,
I finished chemotherapy after 6 cycles a little over a year ago but am still having problems with my nails.
As soon as they grow at all they start to crumble and flake and then catch on everything. They have now started to split higher up as well.
I have been using O.P.I daily nail strengthener since the start of treatment. Has anyone found something that will help with this and is this something that will improve over time or do I just need to get used to it. (I have also lost a couple of toenails in the last few months - they just fell of with new nails underneath)
Thank you!
Hi NannyJ26
As this group is a general chemotherapy group, and you haven’t specified what type of chemotherapy you had, you might get more replies if you also make a post in the breast cancer group where I see you’re a member and have posted before.
There you’ll be able to connect with others who have had the same type of chemo and it’s a very active group, so I’m sure others will be able to help. I hope you can find a solution-it’s sounds like a very frustrating problem for you.
Sarah xx
