Hi was just wondering if many if you had chemo cancelled due to having a high liver function? Mine got cancelled due to this and i dont know what this means
Many thanks
Hi
Sorry it has been 5 days and no one has replied. Liver function tests show how your liver is reacting at any time, and as the liver is an essential organ which clears all toxins from the body, stopping chemo is sensible as it is essentially a poison which the liver needs to clear out. If it is not working properly then chemo could be dangerous to you. Hopefully a break will give the liver time to recuperate. However you should really be talking to your oncologist or team to ask for a better explanation. Can I also say the same about your other question about your gums - ask them.
Hope you are feeling okay, as I know when my liver enzymes were all over the place, I felt like crap!
